ABOUT ME
I first encountered clay when I made pinch pots in preschool, and I have been captivated by the medium ever since. One of the things I love most about clay is how intrinsically ceramics is embedded in our everyday lives. We draw so much comfort from the routine of it, whether it’s holding a warm cup of tea on a cold day or eating from a bowl of pasta after a long day at work.
Having grown up poking around the shores of the BC coast, I draw heavily from nature as inspiration in my works. I enjoy the push and pull of drawing attention to small but beautiful details in nature that we might otherwise gloss over even though it is all around us.
